Welcome to the first edition of CHIPs
.
The newsletter from Chuck Hellebuyck's Electronic Products.
In this series of newsletters we will offer tips and tricks
on how to design electronic gadgets using microcontrollers programmed in mostly
BASIC but also occasionally in C language or assembly language.
What is CHIPs?
CHIP stands for Chuck Hellebuyck's Intellectual Property. In other words
all the years of knowledge I gained from designing electronics that is built
up in my head is now available one newsletter at a time for my readers to
review. They can then do what they want with the information. Of course it
has a double meaning; the newsletter is always about microchips or microcontroller
based projects. It's not just my ideas though. I will occasionally include
an article from a colleague
or other contributor that I think the readers of this newsletter will enjoy.
How often is CHIPs sent?
I plan to offer a new CHIPs column every month. If I'm inspired it
may come more than once a month.
What does CHIPs cost to subscribe?
Zero.
Can I advertise in CHIPs?
Initially I don't plan to offer outside advertising but eventually I will
be offering space to venders who want to advertise to the CHIPs audience.
When does CHIPs officially launch?
The official launch is January 2010 but this introduction kind of launches
CHIPs. I just cannot guarantee CHIPs every month until January.
Will back issues of CHIPs be offered?
Yes. I plan to have a limited list of back issues for those that sign up.
What do I need to do to subscribe to CHIPs?
You just need to fill out the online form to subscribe. You can also unsubscribe
at any time at the link published at the bottom of every CHIPs newsletter.
I hope you will enjoy reading CHIPs as much as I enjoy
writing it. See you in the future editions of CHIPs!
